The War on Terrorism

The war on terrorism is truly the most significant problem in the world right now.  The war has been effecting everyone since 9/11 and since the war with Iraq started, the war’s impact on people and the world has increased.  Not only this but now the US is paying billions of dollars to restore Iraq.  The war was practically on the news everyday and night for a long time, while everything else was being forgotten.  The economy is slipping while money and people are being shipped into Iraq.  Terrorism kills a ton of people as well, and gets the government really riled up.  Protests have been going on about the war, while the US has loss not just money, but support as well from allied countries.  This is really how the war is effecting the US right now.  The way the US is trying to help the situation is by rebuilding Iraq, but that still costs billions of dollars, so that is just like tacking on another problem.  Really the major cause of terrorism is because of the current condition of Middle Eastern countries.  Children grow up learning to hate the US, and just about anyone else who supports the US like Israel.  So those children grow up and spread terror among nations and teach their children the same ideas and thoughts;  so the cycle goes on.  Religious issues between the world’s countries are another cause for terrorism.  To have extremists of any sort is not good, it is just that the Middle Eastern extremists are causing problems.  The Middle Eastern extremists have gone over the line by killing people because of their beliefs.  This is not right that is why countries like the US are trying to stop these terrorists.  This is why terrorism is such a huge problem and does effect everyone.  Everyone wants to feel safe and with terrorism, it makes a person not feel quite as safe.  Terrorism effects, the economy, everyday life, and the safety of US citizens and many other countries’ civilians, this is why terrorism is a very significant problem today.

Response to Nuclear Activity

Nuclear activity is an extremely big issue and threatens many peoples’ lives, but it is not the largest issue right now.  Countries with nukes are really only threatened by countries with other nukes, and if countries with nukes feel threatened , they are not going to drop  bombs because they know a bomb will drop on them. This kind of cancellation creates almost a shield for countries with nukes.  Now if a nuclear bomb did drop there would be problems not only with the amount of  people who would die , but ecological problems as well.  With all the radiation from the nuclear war head, there would be plant and animal mutations.   This is not very healthy.  If a bomb dropped, that would probably lower the bar so much as to make another country want to drop a bomb on someone they don’t like as well.  Then a cycle of dropping bombs is created, until there is nothing left but a few survivors which will form gangs, and it would be a huge mess.  Now the bombs are not going to drop because of this reason, that is why nukes are not a large threat right now.  As long as everyone has a nuke, they will have the nuclear shield.  The bigger problem than nukes is other ways to destroy a country, such as terrorist attacks.  Look how much havoc a small amount of people in the Middle East have caused.  Economy drops, billions of dollars are needed, and fear for safety has been created from these terrorist attacks.  As stated, nuclear activity is a big deal right now, but there are other problems that are bigger because there really isn’t very much nuclear activity right now.  Nuclear activity is not the main threat right now.
